Visit the library (with a parent if you are under 18) to pick up your card. You, or your parent/caregiver, must show a picture ID with a current form of identification with a Nutley address, such as a driver’s license, lease, utility bill, or phone bill.

The resident library card must be renewed every three years. Cards for those who work or go to school in Nutley must be renewed each year. If the card is lost, please notify the library immediately. There will be a $5.00 charge for a replacement card. The card can be used in Nutley and any of the 77 other libraries in the BCCLS system (Bergen County Cooperative Library System).

Subscription Card
If you do not live, work, or go to school in Nutley, you can  purchase a subscription card for an annual fee of $150.00 (however please check if your home Library is part of the BCCLS System, if so, you can use that card to borrow materials here in Nutley for free). A subscription card entitles the holder to services  at the Nutley Public Library and access to the Nutley Library collection. If the subscriber so desires, this card may be used by members of his/her immediate  family.  The subscriber is responsible for all materials borrowed using the card.

What Your Card Entitles You To Borrow
As soon as you are handed your card you can begin taking out books and other materials, such as audio books, Blu Rays, DVDs, video games, and music CDs!

Outside of the library, you can use your card online to borrow eBooks, movies, music, audiobooks, digital magazines, audiobooks, navigate through research databases, and learn a new language with Mango and Rosetta Stone.   You can also renew and reserve materials, sign up for date due reminders and text notifications, and create a custom user name.

Most books can be borrowed for twenty-eight days, music CDs for fourteen days, and BluRays and DVDs for one week except for the new arrivals which are for only 2 days.
